The Choir has developed a considerable social aspect over the years.  One of the associated activities is the support of local sports teams - including  Nottingham Rugby, the Forest & County soccer teams, and the very successful Notts County Cricket Club.

Other activities include social golf events, (some members belonging to the Radcliffe GC), a weekly walking group, lawn bowls, both indoor and outdoor, and  twice yearly off-shore sailing weeks, the last being to NW Scotland in July.

Associated activities of the Radcliffe MV Choir.

Also enjoyed are social events with wives and partners, not least those associated with choir tours whether they be a week to Rome, as in September 2008, (See ROME), or weekends  away in this country, e.g. click on WALES TOUR.2010.  Fotos of our 2011 West Country tour are at 2011 Tour .Evening events include our Annual Dinner, the latest being held on the 26th November 2011 when 85 attended. For details of this event go to ANNDIN

The above photo illustrates that our Choir, despite being exclusively “Male Voice”, has a most important Female presence.   Sue Bennet (Associate MD), Eleonora Babitskaya (our wonderful Russian Accompanist) and our new MD Victoria Barlow, are seen here with current Chairman Teg Davies, in an enlargement from a newly commissioned Choir portrait taken by Andy Button of photoandy.co.uk.

After performing a Concert last Saturday night most of the Choir were caught in bad road conditions due to snow and ice, well forecast by the Met Office but seemingly ignored by the local gritting authorities.  Most managed to reach home by midnight and the general public will be pleased to know that, so far, no members are reported missing or had to abandon their cars like a number of folk, judging by those seen en route.
